Major Foster is a native of Prattville, Alabama.  She graduated from Autauga Academy in 2000 and Faulkner University in Montgomery in December 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.  Major Foster joined the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in April 2007 as a correctional officer.  In 2017 Major Foster was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. During her tenure as Lieutenant, she served as night shift commander and day shift as the officer in charge (OIC).  In February 2020, Lieutenant Foster she was promoted to the rank of Major/Assistant Director of Detention.  Major Foster's strives each day to assist the Director of Detention in following the guidelines set forth by the administration.
