MONTGOMERY, Ala. (December 19, 2025) -- The Montgomery County Commission has announced that County offices will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, in accordance with an executive order signed by the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.
The executive order declared Dec. 24 and Dec. 26 as federal holidays. County offices were already scheduled to be closed on Dec. 26 in accordance with the state holiday declared by Governor Kay Ivey.
The Montgomery County Commission would also like to remind the public about the adjusted operating hours for County offices during this holiday season.
County offices will close early, at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025.
Additionally, County offices will now be closed for the holidays on the following days:
- Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025 - Christmas Eve
- Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025 – Christmas Day
- Friday, Dec. 26, 2025
- Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026 - New Year's Day
All essential public safety and emergency services will remain fully operational and unaffected by the schedule changes. Offices resume normal operating hours the next business day following each closure.
