Inmate Mail Mail addressed to individuals incarcerated in the Detention Facility should be as follows: Inmate Name and Booking Number Montgomery County Detention Facility P. O. Box 4599 Montgomery, AL 36103-4599 All incoming mail must also contain a return address, including name, street address, city, state and zip code. Incoming mail not properly addressed will be destroyed. Correspondence received with “Postage Due” will be returned to sender. All incoming mail is opened (not read) and searched for contraband, i.e. money, checks, inappropriate photos, matches, lighters, cigarettes, jewelry, chewing gun, etc. Cash and checks (both personal and business), are considered contraband and will not be delivered to inmates. All money with the exception of money orders or cashier’s checks will be returned to sender. |
